Our wines reflect the perfect fusion between the granite soil and the Atlantic Ocean breeze.

Terroir

The value of a territory lies in its ability to unlock its full potential.

At Quinta da Rabiana, terroir is much more than a geographical characteristic; it is the soul of our wines. Located in the Ave sub-region, in the heart of the Vinho Verde region, our vineyards benefit from granite soil, deeply influenced by the Atlantic. This terroir gives our wines a unique freshness and elegance.

The Vinho Verde Region

The Vinho Verde Demarcated Region, one of the largest in Portugal and Europe, stretches across the northwest of the country, between the Minho River and the Douro, and is marked by a vast amphitheater that gradually rises inland. The proximity to the Atlantic and the diversity of the granite soils contribute to the production of wines of remarkable freshness and lightness, as well as sparkling wines of superior quality.

The Impact on Wine

At Quinta da Rabiana, the combination of granite soil and the mild climate of the Ave sub-region results in wines with vibrant acidity and floral and citrus notes. Each bottle reflects the purity and dedication we put into cultivating our vineyards and making our wines.
