The grapes, sourced from a single vineyard plot, were hand-picked in the early morning hours (to avoid heat) and placed in small-capacity boxes. They were then quickly transported to the winery. Foot treading was used. Fermentation took place in granite lagares at temperatures between 20°C and 24°C. Second fermentation occurred in bottle. Disgorged after 12 months. Traditional method.
Dark red in color. The aroma is expressive and exuberant, with red fruits such as blackberry and raspberry. On the palate, the fruit notes are even more intense, with hints of chocolate. Full-bodied, with soft tannins and a long finish.
Pairs perfectly with traditional dishes such as lamprey, arroz de sarrabulho, roast kid and suckling pig.
Enjoy at a temperature between 6°C and 8°C.
